The Police Service Commission (PSC) has appointed a new Commissioner of Police for Lagos State following the recommendation of the Inspector General of Police, IGP Ibrahim Idris.
The new CP Lagos is Imohimi Edgar. He was formerly the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge Operations at the Lagos Police Command.

CP Imohimi it would be recalled was the officer charged by former CP Fatai Owoseni, with the task of ending activities of dreaded Badoo Cult and militants who terrorized Ikorodu and environs with kidnapping and deadly cultist activities.
The new CP enlisted into the Nigeria Police Force, as a cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police, on February 2, 1986.
He has served in various commands and formations of the NPF within the country in several capacities, spending most of his postings at the Lagos State Police Command.
He is a 1984 graduate of Art at the University of Jos, and bagged a Master/s Degree in Public and International Affairs at the University of Lagos in 2004.
