Lake Sanity 2: Force Commander MNJTF visits Frontline Troops; Says New Measures to Outmaneuver Adversaries Activated

The Force Commander of the Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF), Maj Gen Ibrahim Sallau Ali on Tuesday 14 May 2024 conducted an operational visit to the frontline troops engaged in Operation Lake Sanity 2 at Baga, Cross Kauwa, and Malam Fatori in Borno State, Nigeria.
During the visit, Maj Gen Ali expressed confidence in the collective capabilities of the troops to eradicate terrorism in the region.
He highlighted the significant reduction in the strength of Boko Haram, noting that their reliance on Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) underscores their weakened state.
To counter this threat, Gen Ali revealed the introduction of measures designed to outmaneuver the adversaries.
He emphasized the importance of staying vigilant and cautious, reaffirming his trust in the commanders and the high expectations he harbors for the success of Operation Lake Sanity 2.
The purpose of Gen Ali’s visit was not only to evaluate the progress of the ongoing operation but also to boost the morale of the troops in the frontline.
He pledged to continue to support the troops with all needed logistics for the operation to succeed.
