The Kaduna State University on Saturday 8th December 2018, conferred a honorary doctorate degree in leadership and peace on the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Tukur Yusuf Buratai.
Three other prominent Nigerians were also conferred with the honorary doctorate degrees.

They are formerc Vice President of Nigeria, Architect Muhammad Namadi Sambo, GCON, former Governor of Kaduna State, Senator Ahmed Mohammed Makarfi and the Minister of Transport, Right Hon Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi
The event was the combined convocation ceremony of the University at the School’s permanent site, where other distinguished Nigerians, students and Friends of the University gathered to celebrate the University’s milestone in academic excellence.
The event had in attendance the Visitor of the University, Gov Nasir El-Rufai, Former Vice President, Namadi Sambo and other dignitaries.
