Maj Gen Sani Yusuf hands over to Maj Gen Irefin – New GOC 81 division.

Maj Gen Musa Sani Yusuf who has just been appointed the Chief of Administration (Army) has bided farewell with a handing and taking over parade marking the end of his tenure as the General Officer Commanding (GOC) 81 Division.

In his speech, the GOC thanked all personnel and their families of the Division for their cooperation while wishing them good luck in their future endeavors.

Gen Yusuf further described his stay in the office as a wonderful, interesting and eventful experience.

He added that; he introduced other training activities in the Formations and Units in addition to the Army Headquarters scheduled activities to enhance professionalism and regimentation in line with the Chief of Army Staff’s vision.

He said; “it was indeed a memorable and eventful experience to command 81 Division as the GOC, I have introduced several training activities in formations and units in addition to scheduled activities of AHQ to enhance professionalism and regimentation in line with the COAS’ vision which is, to have a professionally responsive Nigerian Army in the discharge of its constitutional roles.”

Gen Yusuf added that he is no doubt that his successor will maintain the tempo in ensuring that all are professional and better personnel in the NA.

Noting that; “we must endeavor to maintain discipline and desist from any unwholesome activities that will put oneself and the NA into disrepute.”

He further thanked other Sister Services, Paramilitary and Agencies for their support and dedication while thanking the COAS for the opportunity bestowed to him.

In the same development, the new GOC, Maj Gen JO Irefin while seeking for cooperation and support extended towards the outgone GOC, commended the tremendous achievements of his predecessor.

On ground to grace the occasion were: Comd 9 & 35 Bdes and all other Commanders of the Division, Comdt NASPRI, Asst Controller of Prisons Lagos State Command, Principal Staff Officers from the Division HQs, Commanding Officers, Officers & Soldiers with their families, well-wishers and paramilitary agencies among others.

Highlights of the occasion were: signing of handing and taking over note as well as signing investiture of incoming GOC at the Division Conference Room, group photograph and Quarter Guard Procedure among others.
