Major Gen Kelvin Aligbe, Commander TRADOC Nigerian Army Honours His Predecessor

The Commamder Training and Doctrine Command(TRADOC) of the Nigerian Army , Major General Kelvin Aligbe on Tuesday 11 July 2023 orgainsed a send off dinner at the TRADOC Officers Mess Minna, in honour of his predecessor,  Major General Stevenson Olabanji (rtd) who disengaged from  service after nearly 35 years of meritorious service to the Nation.
In his  remarks , Major General  Aligbe while congratulating General Olabanji and other retiring senior officers  for a successful career in the NA thanked them for building a bridge of sound administration for those coming behind.
 He described Gen Olabanji as an exceptional senior officer whom he said  mentored many officers and soldiers of the NA including himself.
Aligbe applauded Olabanji for his impactiful tour of duty in TRADOC NA  adding that the former Commander is a dedicated and seasoned Infantry General whose legacies would remain as references for those coming behind.
In his valedatory Speech, Gen Olabanji  described his sojourn in the Nigerian  Army (NA) as a fullfilled one having served the NA meritorously.
He  described his experience in the Nigerian Army as a blessed one which he said provided opportunity to gather more knowledge, exposure and experience.
 “The experience gathered in my 35 years of millitary service is unquantifiable and i am very proud that i am leaving the NA a fulfilled person”, he said.
He thanked Officers, soldiers and civilian staff for thier support throughout his tour of duty in TRADOC. NA .
In  his welcome address, the Acting Director Exams, TRADOC NA , Brig Gen  Nwamba said the event is to honour the retired Commander TRADOC whom he said contributed immensely in repositioning TRADOC NA  to  greater height.
He added that the former Commander during his tenure embarked on several major projects that have gave TRADOC NA a face lift.
Similarly, some posted out Senior officers were also recognised during the colourful and memorable occassion.
Dignitaries that graced the occassion included former Commander Corps of Infantry, Major General  Victor  Ezugwu (Rtd), former Commander, Nigerian Army Corps of Engineers, Major General FS Owonibi (Rtd), and  former Commander  4 Brigade Benin Brigadier General  YJ Gaje (Rtd).
