Major General Abdul Khalifah Ibrahim has taken over as the new Acting Corps Commander Infantry Corps of the Nigerian Army, following the substantive appointment of the former Commander Maj Gen OO Oluyede as the Acting Chief of Army Staff.

The Nigerian Army Infantry Corps with headquarters in Jaji, Kaduna is the infantry corps of the Nigerian Army and includes regular and reserve force regiments..The Corps is headed by the Commander, Infantry Corps Center (ICC).
Until his appointment, Maj.General Khalifa Ibrahim served as the Deputy Director General of the National Centre for the Control of Small Arms and Light Weapons (NCCSALW) at the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA) in Abuja
Over the course of his military career, Maj. Gen. Ibrahim has held appointments as Force Commander, Multinational Joint Task Force, MNJTF, and GOC 7 Division, Maiduguri among other appointments.
He holds a Master’s Degree in Strategic Studies from the University of Ibadan and has participated in international peace support operations in Liberia and Sudan.
