Major General Anthony Omozojie takes over as GOC 2 division, Nigerian Army.
GENERAL OFFICER COMMANDING 2 DIVISION NIGERIAN ARMY MAJOR GENERAL ANTHONY BAMIDELE OMOZOJE TAKES OVER COMMAND
Major General Anthony Bamidele Omozoje on Tuesday 23 July 2019 takes over the command of 2 Division Nigerian Army, at the Headquarters 2 Division Nigerian Army, Adekunle Fajuyi Cantonment, Ibadan.
The new General Officer Commanding took over command from Major General Okwudili Fidelis Azinta who is now the Chief of Army Standard and Evaluation at the Army Headquarters Abuja.
The outgone GOC, Major General OF Azinta while addressing troops of the Division at the 2 Division Garrison parade ground thanked all the officers, soldiers and their families for their supports and cooperation during his tenure as the GOC of the Division.
Major General OF Azinta urged all the personnel of 2 Division to work diligently with the new GOC Major General AB Omozoje.

His words “I appreciate you all for the excellent job done in 2 Division and the Nigerian Army at large, I want you all to extend the same cooperation, dedication given to work during my stay to the new GOC because he is a senior officer who has the capacity to move the Division to higher level.
He added that excellent Civil/ Military Relations is important and that soldiers should not at any point use their weapon to extort money, harass or victimize the civil populace, rather, use it to protect them as their constitutional mandate.
He noted that “you all should work to make the Division progress and not to distract the new GOC by committing atrocities that can jeopardize the image and reputation of the Division”
Also speaking, the new General Officer Commanding 2 Division Nigerian Army, Major General AB Omozoje, thanked the Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant General Tukur Yusuf Buratai for appointing him as the GOC 2 Division in times like this when the Nation is facing various security challenges.
The GOC also thanked Major General OF Azinta for a job well done in 2 Division and promise to maintain the tempo in ensuring that all personnel of the Division remains professional in the discharge of their duties.
