According to Police investigation, Mathew Dogari brought Dogari Bawa Henchi to Military Pensions Board claiming to be his father and a pensioner, with documents which belongs to a deceased military pensioner, late Private Ensi Dogari.
Their intention was to defraud the government by trying to enroll as a pensioner and claim monthly pension.
Consequently, they were charged to Grade 1 Area court kubwa, Abuja and pleaded guilty.
The Magistrate convicted them to eight (8) months in prison or an option of One Hundred and Forty Thousand Naira (N140,000.00) fine.
It could be recalled that the Board had earlier secured the conviction of 14 fake pensioners since January 2018.
