Murder of 2 Persons in Enugu with Machetes: Police begins probe; arrest 3 suspects.

Operatives of the Nigeria Police Force, Enugu Command, acting on intelligence information have arrested one Elochukwu Eze 21 years old, from Ishiokwe Agbani and Michael Ani 22 years old of Mbogodo Agbani all in Nkanu west local government Area of the state for their alleged involvement in murder of a victim identified as one Chidera at Amurri junction Agbani on 5/6/19.

A Police statement by SP Ebere Amaraizu, PPRO said the deceased person (Chidera) was found lying in a pool of his blood at Amurri junction and closer observation revealed matchete cuts on his head hence he was rushed to a hospital for medical attention and from where he was confirmed dead.

The corpse was deposited at the Agbani District hospital mortuary for post mortem examinations.

Following the incident, the State Commissioner of Police, Suleiman Balarabe directed for a prompt action and full scale investigation to unmask the perpetrators and unravel the mystery surrounding the dastardly act.

It led to the arrest of the two and recovery of exhibits following their revelations.

Suspects are now helping the operatives of the command in their investigations.

In a related development, one Monday Nnaji of Amodu Nkanu West local government Area of Enugu state is now helping the operatives of the command in relation to his alleged dastardly act in inflicting matchete cuts on the head of one Great Nwobodo which caused his death.

The deceased person (Nwobodo) was said to be coming back from school alongside three of his siblings on Thursday 6th June 2019 along Amodu Ubia road when the suspect allegedly committed the act.

CP Suleiman Balarabe directed for a full scale investigations to unravel the circumstances surrounding the unfortunate incident which led to the arrest of the suspect and the recovery of the matchete used by the suspect.

The corpse of the victim is now deposited at District hospital mortuary Agbani for post mortem examination.
