The Police in Mushin have busted suspected Indian hemp rings in the notorious Akala area leading recovery of bails of the drug hidden in Bibles, Fruits and other bags valued at N80million.
During a raid conducted by a combined team of the Divisional Police Officers of Mushin Area Command, several shanties used as criminal hideouts and illicit drugs outlets were destroyed.
A source told disclosed that the Area Commander, Area D Mushin Lagos, ACP Akinbayo Olasoji led all the DPOs within the Area Command on the operation.

This led to the destruction and burning of shanties within the Akala Area.
Items recovered include Indian Hemps in raps named Pawpaw, Bibles and several bags worth over #80,000,000.00 in value.
It would be recalled that the Area Commander similarly took part in the demolition of the notorious popular Oluwole Market in Lagos noted for several criminal activities in 2005.
The source added that investigation is ongoing to unravel those behind the deadly drugs trade in the notorious Akala area for possible arrest.
