NADCEL 2019: Buratai commissions 288 rebuilt flats for soldiers at Ikeja Cantonment

The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Tukur Yusufu Buratai on Friday 5th July 2019 commissioned an unprecedented number of 288 rebuilt flats for soldiers accommodation in Ikeja Military Cantonment.

It would be recalled that the renovated buildings were those affected during Ikeja Bomb explosions in 2001 which caused accommodation challenge for so many officers, soldiers and their families.

The buildings had been in that shattered conditions until the COAS intervened through the Nigerian Army Engineers Direct Labour Project.

The commissioning of the flats to jubilations in the barracks, is part of activities lined up for this year’s (NADCEL) Nigerian Army Day Celebration 2019.

The COAS latter proceeded to Bonny Military Cantonment Mosque to join other Muslim faithfuls in offering prayers to mark this year’s NADCEL.
