The Chief of Training and Operations, Headquarters Nigerian Air Force, Air vice Marshall A Iya has called for closer cooperation among the Services in order to completely rout Boko Haram terrorists still operating in the North East of the country.
The CTOP made the call during a courtesy visit to the General Officer Commanding (GOC) 8 Task Force Division, Maj Gen Ali Nani.
He explained that greater cooperation among the Armed Forces would promote effective communication, boost the morale of troops and improve their fighting efficiency.
AVM Iya who was accompanied by the Chief of Logistics at NAF HQ, Air Vice Marshall SI Usman and Air Component Commander Operation Lafiya Dole, Air Commodore C Ohwo, disclosed that the purpose of his visit was to identify air support requirements of 8 Task Force Division.
Responding, the GOC commended the Nigerian Air Force for its contributions and support in the fight against terrorism.
He prayed that the Nigerian Air Force continue with current the spirit of jointness, since is the only way to conduct operations of the magnitude currently being handled.
Maj Gen Nani pledged the continued cooperation of 8 Task Force Division in all operations.
