In furtherance of his determination to ensuring a conducive environment for education of youths and pupils attending primary and secondary schools within the premises of the Nigerian Defence Academy, the Commandant, NDA, Major General Adeniyi Oyebade on Friday March 29th 2019, commissioned a block of 2 classrooms each for the NDA Staff Primary School and the NDA Staff Secondary School.

The construction of the new blocks of classrooms which are tailored towards ensuring that the high standards attained at the premier Cadet training institution for military officers, is replicated at the primary and secondary schools, was appreciated by scores of students, pupils and their teachers who celebrated the gesture.
Highlight of the inauguration of the new blocks of classrooms, was naming them after notable Army Officers who served the military institution and the nation and excelled.
While the NDA Secondary School block of classrooms was named after Lt. General Salihu Ibrahim (rtd), a former Chief of Army Staff, and also a former NDA Commandant, the NDA Primary School block of classrooms was named after Major General TL Ashei, also a former Commandant of the NDA.
Speaking at the inauguration, the Commandant said, the modest efforts are part of efforts at expanding and modernizing the school as well as giving the students a sense of belonging and meke them aspire for educational excellence.
