The Commissioner of Police, Akwa Ibom State, has approved the posting of DSP BalaElkana as Police Public Relations Officer, Akwa Ibom State.
DSP Bala Elkana was enlisted into the Nigeria Police in 2003.
He holds a Bachelor Degree in Law (LLB) and Master Degree in Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution.
He attended several courses, among which are Detective Course, Emergency Management Course, Combat Operation Course, Community Policing, Leadership Training; and Public Relation courses.

He served in various capacities and departments such as Criminal Investigation Department, Divisional Operations Officer, Divisional Police Officer, Community Policing Adviser/Trainer, Police Public Relations Officer, Niger State, among others.
Until his recent posting, he was the officer in charge of Community Policing, Akwa Ibom State.
