The Corp of Signals, Nigerian Army with headquarters in Lagos now has a befitting accommodation complex as well as a remodeled well-furnished state of art headquarters building.
Chief of Defence Staff, General Abayomi Gabriel Olonisakin, a one-time Commander, Nigerian Army Corps of Signals was on hand to commission the remodeled, upgraded and furnished complexes on Tuesday December 13 December 2018.
Commander, Army Corps of Signals (CCS), Major General Olukoju speaking in Arakan Barracks, Apapa, venue of the commissioning ceremony recalled that over the years the NAS Corps did not gave a befitting accommodation.
He paid tribute to the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General Tukur Yusufu Buratai for his immense support towards achieving the target of changing the fortunes of and reconstructing the signals corps Flag House as well as the accommodation shortcomings in the corp.
Similarly Major General Olukoju saluted the intervention of the Chief of Defence Staff, General Olonisakin towards the reconstruction and progress of the Commander’s House and accommodation for Signal Corps.

Aside the Chief of Defence Staff, those in attendance at the colourful commissioning ceremonies were the representatives of the COAS the General Officer Commanding 81 Division, Major General Yusuf, Air Officer Commanding Logistic Command, Air Vice Marshal Remigus Ekeh, the Flag Officer Commanding Western Naval Command and the Flag Officer Commanding Naval Training Command.
Some former Commanders Corp of Signals who attended includes Major General GG Umo (rtd), the Nigerian Ambassador to the Vatican; Major General T Braimoh (rtd), AU Dambatta, DD Kitchener and host of others.
In one of the highlight of the occasion, the Commander Corps of Signals’ Residence was commissioned by a one-time Military Governor of Lagos State, Brigadier General Alagbe Raji Rasaki (rtd), who was also a former Commander Corps of Signals.

Also there was investiture of some Colonelss promoted to Brig Gen.
They are Cols SY Bashir, P Ilodibia and KO Osemwegei.
