The attention of the Nigeria Police Force, Kogi State Police Command has been drawn to some media publication alleging that seven persons have been killed by suspected herdsmen in Koton-Karfe in Kogi Local Government Area of Kogi State on Tuesday 25/06/2019.
The news of the purported killings is false and capable of misleading the public on the security situations in Kogi State.
The Command has not received any report and is not aware of the attack as alleged.

It is pertinent to let the public be aware that, the Command in collaboration with other security agencies is determined to guarantee the protection of lives and property in the State.
The Commissioner of Police urge all peace loving citizens of Kogi State and the country vat large to discountenance such misleading information but gravitate towards issues that will bring peace in the State.
Finally, the Commissioner of Police urge members of the public to always report any incident to the Police for prompt response.
