The National Security Adviser (NSA), Major General Babagana Monguno during the week attended the ‘IX International Meeting of High Ranking Officials Responsible for Security Matters’ across major continents.
The top level meeting held in Sochi, Russia.

At the event, General Monguno was said to have held bilateral meetings with his Russian Counterpart, Mr. Nikolai P Patrushev on the sidelines of the Summit.
Although the meeting was held behind closed doors, an official indicated that the 2 officials discussed security and other issues of concern to Russia and Nigeria
