Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has promoted ten Commandants of the Corps to the position of Assistant Commandant General (ACG).

Those promoted are; Adamu Soldier, Aminu Ali, Bassey Bassey, Kabiru Gambo, Fatima Musa Ekaje, Yakubu Danladi Cladius and Popoola Waheed.
Others are; Zakari Ibrahim Ningi, Helen Amakiri and Augustine Obiekwe.
While decorating the promoted top officers on Wednesday in Abuja, the Commandant General of the NSCDC, Abdullahi Gana Mohammadu warned them that the promotion means more responsibilities on their shoulders.
“Your promotion means more responsibilities for you,” he said. “You have to give more to the Service and the nation in general as more is expected of you.”
“I want you to go and make a difference wherever you are posted to.”
The NSCDC boss disclosed that there was no lobbying of any type in the promotion process, stressing that those who got promoted were picked on merit.
“We follow seniority and also gave priority to those who have gone to a defence college. Finally, we took the federal character policy into consideration.”
Responding on behalf of the promoted officers, ACG Augustine Obiekwe thanked the government for the elevation, promising to surpass expectations in their respective duty post.
