“In terms of performance and facilities, Eghosa Grammar school is the least of the three schools established by the government, we must do all we can to address the challenges facing our alma mater.
“I am more inclined to given back to the school rather than focusing on the old boys of the school, as most of us are doing well in the society, and the question we all should ask ourselves is, ‘is our school doing well?’”
A statement by John Mayaki, CPS to the governor quoted leader of the delegation and Chairman of Edo State Branch of EGHOBA, Rt. Rev. Osama Osualele, hailing the governor’s leadership style adding that the people of the state were already singing his praises based on his performance.
Osualele also informed the governor that the report of the committee, which was set up to assess the challenges facing the school and proffer solutions to them, was ready for implementation, and that N182m was needed to fix the school and return it to its former glory.
“We need N10m to host the global conference and just N2m is what we have realized, and this was made possible by Edo and Lagos Chapter. We solicit for your support to make the hosting of the conference a memorable one,” he said.
