Ogun Police Arrest 2 Men for Gang Raping 14 year old girl.

Police in Ogun State have arrested two men for raping a 14 year old girl in Obantoko area of Odeda Local Government Abeokuta. 

 The two suspects Abiodun Ishola ‘m’ 19 and Kehinde Oloyede ‘m’ 18 years were arrested on 28^th of April, 2018 following a complaint from the victim (name withheld) who reported that she is a hairdressing apprentice and that she was going to her boss’ shop unknown to her that there was environmental sanitation exercise going on.  

She stated further that Abiodun who was sitting down in front of his father’s house informed her of the restriction of movement and asked her to come and stay in their house pending when the exercise will last.  

While she was staying with the said Abiodun, he stylishly took her bag inside and when she wanted to leave, he told her to go and pick her bag from inside, not knowing that he has sent for his friend Kehinde who later joined him and they both forcefully had carnal knowledge of her.  

It was her screaming that attracted people who eventually rescued her.

Upon the report, the DPO Obantoko Division SP Veronica Osakwe led detectives to the scene where Abiodun Isola was arrested, and his arrest led to the eventual arrest of his accomplice Kehinde Oloyede. 

On interrogation they both confessed to the commission of the crime.  

The victim has been taken to general hospital for medical examination.  

Meanwhile the Commissioner of Police CP Ahmed Iliyasu has ordered that the two suspects be transfer to Anti Human Trafficking and Child Labour Unit of the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department for further investigation and prosecution.
