Police Kill 3 Armed Robbery Suspects in Shootout in Ogun.
Men of Ogun state police command on Saturday 22nd September shot dead three members of an armed robbery gang at Fidiwo area along Lagos/Ibadan expressway.
The three suspects were shot dead following a distress call received by the policemen attached to Owode Egba Division that robbers were attacking one Jumoke Ogunbade a popular bush meat seller who had gone to the area to meet her bush meat supplier.
On receiving the information, the DPO Owode Egba Division CSP Sheu Alao quickly led his Anti robbery team to the scene where they engaged the hoodlums in gun duel which lasted for about 30 minutes.

At the end of the encounter, three members of the syndicate were gunned down while others escaped into the nearby bush with gunshot wound.
Recovered from them are; one locally made single barrel gun, one shot double barrel gun, one single barrel muzzle loading gun, one live cartridge, a wrist watch belonging to the victim of the attack and cash sum of#10,220.
Meanwhile, the commissioner of police CP Ahmed Iliyasu who praised his men for their gallant display and quick response to distress call has ordered for serious manhunt for the fleeing members of the gang.
He also appealed to members of the public especially hospitals, traditional healers and other health officials to report to the police if anybody with gunshot injuries is seen around their area.
