Major General Ibrahim Sallau Ali, Force Commander of MNJTF who made this known, said the successes were achieved during the past month of Operation Lake Sanity II, which was launched on April 23, 2024.
The operation, involving troops from Cameroon, Chad, and Nigeria, has cleared several key terrorist strongholds, including Doron Naira, Zanari, and Bagadaza.
The MNJTF has also recovered a significant cache of weapons and ammunition, including machine guns, rifles, and motorcycles.
Air interdictions conducted by national air forces have destroyed terrorist logistic bases and staging areas, neutralizing over 140 terrorists and destroying their platforms and materiel.
While the operation has achieved significant successes, it has not come without sacrifice.
