Operatives of the Katsina Police Command have arrested a suspected bandit leader and killer of 7 kidnap victims, who is a prominent member of the notorious ‘Dangote’ armed syndicate terrorizing Katsina and Zamfara states.
Giving details of the arrests, Police Pubkic Relations Officer for the Command, SP Gambo Isah said, “On Tuesday 4th of June 2019 at about 4.30pm, based on a tip off, Operation Puff Adder led by DPO Batsari succeeded in arresting one Musa Isuhu, aged 36yrs of Dumburun bandits camp, Zurmi LGA of Zamfara state, a member of notorious armed bandits belonging to one ‘DANGOTE”.
“In the course of investigation suspect confessed to have killed at least seven of his victims in various attacks carried out by his syndicate in various communities within Zamfara and Katsina state.

“Suspect confessed to have participated in the recent attack of Batsarin-Alhaji village, Batsari LGA of Katsina state. Investigation is ongoing.
Similarly, some collaborators and food suppliers to bandits camps in the various forest in both Zamfara and Katsina states were also arrested.
SP Isah said, “On Thursday, 6th of June 2019, about 12:55hrs, based on a tip off, ‘Operation Puff Adder’ led by DPO Batsari succeeded in arresting Hamisu Yusuf, aged 35yrs, Mubarak Sani 30yrs and Habibu Yakubu, aged 50yrs all of Dumburun village, Zurmi LGA of Zamfara state.
“They were arrested in Rugu forest with a motor vehicle Toyota pickup with reg. No. RS 979 NSZ loaded with food items and cartons of assorted drinks.
“Sixty eight (68( cartons of assorted soft drinks, forty three (43) tubbers of Yam and one bag of animal feed were recovered in the vehicle.
“Suspects confessed to be conveying the said items to Dumburun village of Zurmi LGA of Zamfara state, a deserted village mostly inhabited by suspected bandits. Investigation is on going.”
