Constitutional Lawyer and Human Rights Activists, Chief Mike Ozekhome has rejected the description of IPOB by the Nigerian Military as a terrorist organization saying the federal government appears to be selective in its pronouncement.
Speaking against the backdrop of the Defence headquarters categorization of IPOB as a terrorist organization over allegation of being in possession of weapons, having a secret service and planning to have a national guard, Ozekhome wondered why other more dangerous groups had not been declared terrorists organizations.
He said, “I do not believe the instances cited by the Defence Headquarters justify declaring IPOB a terrorist organization”.
