The Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, has ordered the redeployment of the Plateau State Commissioner of Police, Undie Adie, to Force headquarters with immediate effect.
A statement by the spokesperson for the Plateau State Police Command, Matthias Tyopev, a Deputy Superintendent of Police, announced the removal.
Adie has been replaced with Austin Agbonlahor, who was until his appointment, the Commissioner of Police in charge of Federal Operations at Force Headquarters, Abuja.
DSP Terna stated that the Edo born Commissioner of Police is a graduate of University of Benin and has served in different places including the Director of Courses, Nigeria Police Academy Wudil in Kano, Commissioner of Police in Niger State and has worked in all the six geopolitical zones of the country.
It stated that CP Agbonlahor is a fellow of the National Defence College, Abuja and has attended various courses within and outside the country.
Tyopev confirmed that immediate past CP Adie Undie has been posted to the Department of Operations, Force headquarters.
