The Police in Abuja has arrested a notorious armed suspect, Chicago Michael who is a member of a dreaded robbery gang that has been terrorizing residents of the FCT.
He was arrested at Garam village in Niger State and he led his robbery gang to carry out an operation on Thursday at about 3am at the residence of one Fathi Ogun residing at Bwari.
A statement by FCT Police Command signed by ASP Omorodion Usen said, “The robbery gang made away with Ogun’s Toyota Camry Car, a Plasma TV and Mobile Phones at gun point.
“Surveillance team attached to Bwari division after receiving the distress call moved swiftly and trailed the robbers who had fled with the items.

“The robbers were trailed to Garam village in Niger state, where ring leader Chicago Michael was arrested the Toyota Camry car and other items were recovered also recovered was a single double barrel gun, one locally made pistol, 2 live cartridges, iron cutter and 2 cutlasses.
“The suspect has confessed to the crime and currently assisting the police to apprehend the fleeing members of his gang.
While commending men of the Beari Police division for the arrest, Commissioner of Police FCT CP Musa Kimo praised their Surveillance capability and being proactive in the fight against crime.
The CP warned robbers to stay clear off the FCT because the command is all out to deal decisively with anybody who has the intention of perpetrating any form of crime in the state.
He added the command is on the trail of other criminals within the state warning them to eschew criminality or relocate from FCT
