Police crackdown on Kidnappers, Arms Suppliers and Car Snatchers.

 The Police at Force HQ have arrested four kidnappers who abducted two ladies driving a jeep in Abuja, robbed their jeep and collected a ransom of #1million before the release of the victims.

Addressing the media in Abuja, Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Jimoh Moshood said the suspects, Uche Obiora, Micheal Ishiaku, Raphael Dauda and Sanusi Haruna were arrested by operatives of the IGP’s Special Tactical Squad and the of the Inspector General of Police Intelligence Response Unit.

The suspects were arrested in their hideouts in Abuja and Kano respectively and they confessed to the crime and admitted to have robbed and abducted the two victims who were going out for a social celebration.

Items recovered from the Kidnappers include one AK 49 rifle, 59 rounds of 7. 65 ammunition and a Mazda Abuja coloured vehicle with which they perpetrated the crime.

CSP Moshood also paraded a suspected gun-runner, John Jumare of Buggai village, Chukum LGA in Kaduna state.

Jumare was arrested for being an arms supplier to perpetrators of violence in the Southern Kaduna Crisis.

Recovered from him were 5 locally fabricated rifles which he admitted were bought for between #35, 000 and #50, 000.

Three suspected car snatchers who drug their victims, push out the driver of the vehicle and snatch the car were also paraded.

They are Ibrahim Sani, Surajo Yakubu and Danlami Musa and they all confessed to the crime noting that they mostly operate in the North East with Adamawa and Taraba states being the center of operations.
