The Police in Delta State says three kidnapping kingpins have been arrested at Umunede while a victim of the kidnappers was rescued unhurt.
Giving details of their arrest, a statement from the office of the Police Commissioner, CP Ibrahim Zanna said, “On 22nd May 2017, at about 10.40am, information was received at Umunede division of kidnapping.

“Policemen with the assistance on Mbiri Vigilante group responded and rescued one Mercy Nwonkolo ‘M’ 38 yrs from three kidnappers.
The kidnappers who were arrested are Kingsley Oche of no 1 Oche Close, off kingdom hall road, Umunede; Monday Okinyi of Obi quarters, Umunede; and Stanley Obi of No 88 Idumujile quarters, Umunede.
They were all arrested at Mbiri. The Case is presently under investigation.
