Police in Delta Nab Member of Ritualists/Kidnapping Syndicate Trading in Human Parts

The Police in Delta have arrested a suspected ritualist and kidnapper in Amai, Delta state, believed to be a member of a syndicate responsible for abducting people, killing them and trading in human parts.

The arrest of the suspect with a bag of Garri which contained several human parts according to sources is a pointer to suspicion that this criminal activity could be the cause of communal crisis between the commnunities of Amai, Obiaruku, Umuebu and Eziokpo communities in Ukwuani Local Government area of the state.

A statement confirming the arrest, entitled ‘Arrest of a Suspected Ritualist/Kidnapper’ said, “On Sunday 4th June 2017, at about 10. 30am, one Felix Inalu Chibuogwu, 45 years old, of No. 16 Agbede street, Amai, a suspected member of a kidnapping/Ritualists syndicate operating in Amai was apprehended at Abavo while trying to escape to Lagos”.

“Found concealed in his two bags of Garri are two 4-litres jerry cans stocked with substances suspected to be human parts in a preservative fluid.

“The arrest is connected to investigation of cases of missing persons in the intractable land disputes between Umuebu/Amai/Eziokpo/Obiaruku communities in Ukwuani area.

 The statement added that investigation is ongoing to unravel other members of the syndicate.
