Police officer who threatened to kill 200 goes AWOL; as FCT Command confirms Custom’s Officer committed suicide.

Police authorities in Abuja may declare Sergeant Inusa Saidu Biu, the officer who threatened to kill 200 Nigerians if ailing President Muhamadu Buhari dies, wanted.
Sources said the decision to declare him wanted will suffice if concerted efforts being made to arrest him fail as the officer currently serving in Borno State has reportedly absconded from his duty post.
It was gathered that following the directive of the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, that the officer be tracked down, arrested and investigated over the face book post, the Special Investigation Panel swung into action and dispatched crack detectives to Borno State, only to discover that he had gone AWOL.
However, still bent on arresting the officer, the Police High Command in Abuja is said to have directed the Borno state Police Commissioner, CP Damien Chukwu to launch a man-hunt for the Police Sergeant who sources say may be using the Boko Haram insurgency as a bait to hide in one of the troubled communities where security operation has restricted movements of persons.
It will be recalled that Sergeant Inusa Saidu Biu who hails from Biu in Borno State, vowed that he will kill 200 people if President Buhari dies.
The cop who is obviously a die-hard fan of Buhari made the threat while also lashing out at Nigerians who make mockery of the president’s health status.

In his message on the social media platform, Inusa opined that some people are trying to kill the president.

Sources at Police headquarters said from investigation, the officer’s identification and Force number were found to be genuine and matched what was in Police records hence the directive by the IGP that he is fished out.

Meanwhile, FCT Police Commissioner, CP Musa Kimo has confirmed that an Assistant Superintendent of Customs, committed suicide in his home in Lungu Village, Gwarinpa, Abuja.
Speaking on phone in Abuja, Kimo said that though the cause of the suicide was yet to be unraveled, preliminary investigation showed that the man, identified simply as Christian, aged 44, locked himself in a room and hung himself with a rope on Saturday.
Sources at Gwarimpa said the deceased, who was unmarried, was staying with his brother and was said to have been recently transferred to Lagos before the incident happened.
Contacted, Gwarinpa Divisional Police Officer, CSP Nuruddeen Sabo, said the brother whom the deceased stayed with was at a barber’s shop when the incident happened.
Noting that the Customs officer was confirmed dead at the Kubwa General Hospital, the DPO said exhibits recovered from the room include some drugs and a knife.
He said preliminary investigation, also revealed that the deceased was suffering from depression.
