Armed policemen were on Wednesday said to have shot at the Government House, Ado-Ekiti and threatened to kill Ekiti State Governor, Chief Ayodele Fayose
Trouble started when supporters of Fayose and the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) converged on the State Pavilion at Fajuyi Park, Ado-Ekiti where they hoped to embark on a walk around the state capital.
However, they were dispersed by the armed policemen who shot sporadically into the air and tear gassed the crowd.

This led to a confrontation between Fayose and the policemen and some of the policemen shot tear gas canister at Fayose.
As at the time of filing this report, a number of the people were said to have sustained various degrees of injuries.
