POWA President, Fatimah Adamu commissions Police Children’s International Primary School; donates Medical Equipment to Police Clinic.

The President, Police Officers Wives Association (POWA) and wife of the Inspector General of Police, Hajia Fatima Muhammec Abubakar Adamu at the weekend commissioned the Nigerian Police Force Children International Primary School in Garki with families, youths and women from differen Police barracks in the FCT eulogizing vision of providing such legacy project.

Hajia Fatima Adamu and other POWA members was also at the Police Clinic at Garki where she donated several hospital equipment for use of the clinic for patients.

Speaking at the Children’s School, Hajia Fatima commended her predecessor, Barr (Mrs), Asmau Ibrahim Idris who initiated the project, for her foresight.

Following the appointment of IGP Mohammed Adamu as the 20 indigenous Inspector General of Police, Hajia Fatima Adamu who have a passion for children’s education, made the completion of the project, a priority.

It is in this regard that Barr Mrs Asmau Idris, were invited as the Special Guest of Honour to commission the project and her presence elicited great jubilation from mothers and children as well as other POWA members.

Hajia Fatima in her speech disclosed that the school which is comparable to any with international standard, was completed with a cost of #9million noting that no amount of money is too much to invest in ‘our’ children who are the leaders of tomorrow.

At the Garki Police Clinic, hospital equipment donated by the IG’s wife, Hajia Fatima Adamu include, Autoclave Machine,, Baby Cot (bed), and Weighing Scales.

Other donations are Sphygmomanometers, Stethoscopes, Cartons of Needles and Syringes, Cartons of Bottles of Methylated Spirit, Cartons Of Gauze and Cartons of Examination Gloves.
