President Muhammadu Buhari will today (Tuesday) undertake a four-day trip to the United Kingdom (UK) for routine medical checkup.
Senior Special Assistant to the President on media and publicity GARBA SHEHU said the trip followed the president’s last week’s consultation with his doctor, in London on his way from the United States (US).

Shehu said in a statement that “In the course of the technical stop-over for aircraft maintenance in London on his way back from Washington last week, the President had a meeting with his doctor.
The Doctor requested the President to return for a meeting which he agreed to do”.
He disclosed that President Buhari will return from the medical trip on Saturday, May 12.
The presidential spokesman said on his return, the President’s will embark on a two-day State Visit to Jigawa, on Monday 14th and Tuesday 15th May.
The trip was postponed because of the All Progressives Congress, (APC’s) Ward Congresses.
