Quit notice: Sanusi calls for tolerance, peace; says Nigerian belongs to us all.

Emir of Kano, Malam Muhammadu Sanusi has called on Nigerians to be tolerant and live in peace with one another irrespective of their ethnic and religious differences.

In his Sallah message delivered at Kofar-Kwaru Emir’s Palace, Sanusi reminded Nigerians that there is wisdom behind their living together in one nation.

He said, “No country can develop without peace. Peace is a key to development of a nation.

“Any tribe or ethnic group that feels offended should channel its grievances to government through the right channel.

“The two major regions of Islam and Christianity always promote peace and unity.

“Therefore, the followers of these religions should embrace it and live in peace with one another irrespective of religious or ethnic backgrounds.”

He noted that as a nation, Nigeria is being guided by constitution, hence, whoever feels cheated, should follow its provisions to seek for redress.

“Nigerian is ours and unless we live in peace and unity, we cannot develop it. I urge you to promote tolerance, peace and unity among all Nigerians,” he added.
