The Police in Kogi State has advised citizens of the state particularly those in Banda and adjourning villages not to panic as the Command was embarking of shooting training exercises for its policemen

A statement issued in this regard signed by the Command’s spokesman, ASP Williams Ovye Aya said, “The Nigeria Police Force, Kogi State Police Command wish to notify the general public, particularly residents of Banda and nearby Villages not to be panic as a result of sounds of gunshots that might emanate from its routine range exercise.
“The exercise which is part of routine training for the personnel of the Command is scheduled for every Saturday by 0730hrs (7:30am), starting from 17/6/2017 and is expected to be concluded on 12/8/2017”.
“Residents are therefore advised to stay away from the area while the exercise lasted.”
