The event took place at the Nigerian Army School of Supply and Transport (NASST) in Isiohor Barracks, Benin City, on Friday 31st May 2024
A statement by NASST said the event was a testament to the enduring legacy and contributions of the distinguished senior officers.
Represented by the Chief of Logistics (Army), Major General Erema Akerejola, and the Commander NACST Major General Adekunle Adebayo Adeyinka, the COAS was commended for orchestrating such a memorable ceremony.

Recalling his illustrious career, Major General Offiong stated that each day in service was a journey filled with new challenges and excitement.
As he and his colleagues bid farewell to the Corps of proud logisticians, he urged the current leadership not only to sustain the achievements made but to strive to surpass them, regardless of the challenges.
He praised the COAS’s efforts in ensuring the Corps of Supply and Transport performs its statutory roles, fostering professionalism and maintaining high standards.
The Pulling Out Ceremony was marked by a series of significant activities, including tree planting, street naming, and the commissioning of new projects at NASST.
The day culminated in a Gala Night held in honor of the retired generals. The event was graced by the Governor of Edo State, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, represented by Hon Kingsley Uwagbale, Commissioner for Security and Safety. High-ranking officers, including the Chief of Logistics (Army), CCST, Commandant NASST, past CCSTs, directors from Defence Headquarters, Army Headquarters, and Headquarters NACST, were also in attendance.
Other notable attendees included Commandants of Nigerian Army institutions, the Vice Chancellor of UNIBEN, members of the Nigerian Army Officers Wives Association, and commanders of various ST commands and officers from both HQ NACST and NASST.
The ceremony was a fitting tribute to the retired generals, celebrating their years of dedicated service and the indelible mark they have left on the Nigerian Army Corps of Supply and Transport.
