Over 600 Rotarians are to converge in Abuja beginning from July 19, for the investiture of the District Governor, (DG) of District 9125, Rotarian Victor Onukwugha which holds on July 20, 2019.
This was disclosed by the district’s 2019/2020 investiture planning committee chairman, Past Assistant Governor Osi Imomoh who also added that the former Minister of Health, Rotarian Julius Adelusi, a onetime District Governor will be the Guest speaker and chairman of the occasion.
Imomoh who stated that delegates were coming from the 23 states and Abuja which make up the district equally noted that visitors were as well being expected from other districts across the country.
“In fact the responses and the enthusiasms by members across the country to attend the investiture are overwhelming and of particular note are 63 delegates coming from Imo State which is outside our own district.” Imomoh observed.

This, he stressed was being influenced by the personality of the in-coming District Governor, Rotarian Onukwugha who he described as a wonderful humanitarian who had served in virtually all the major committees and retired as a district trainer.
He stated that rotary investiture was an annual event usually organized by every district to herald the unveiling of new District Governor and that it usually provided opportunity for the promotion of acquaintances among clubs and Rotarians which is one of the core values of rotary as a humanitarian organization.
The ceremony which will hold at the International Conference Centre, (ICC) according to him would be one of the bests in the district.
Rotarian Imomoh equally disclosed that twelve hotels and Nigerian Breweries as well as Abuja Chamber of Commerce were partnering with the district and stressed that the post investiture party would be fun filled with cultural troupes from Imo State and Abuja Cultural Centre expected to trill the delegates at M&M Events Centre.
According to him, “all the twelve hotels we are partnering with have offered to provide at least six buses each to ensure that delegates’ movements to and from event and party venues will be seamless”.
Rotary District 9125 comprises the 19 Northern States and Abuja including, Ondo, Ekiti, Oyo and Osun States.
