The Police Special Intelligence Response Squad (IRT) on Friday announced the death of its top operative, Sergeant Sanusi Lanre.

Sergeant Lanre of IRT who was shot during gun battle with the Kidnappers of the 4 British Citizens in Delta State died at exactly 12 noon on Friday after Surgery was conducted earlier Thursday to remove the bullet in his Stomach and rectify the damages caused by the Kidnappers bullet.
A statement by the Commander of the Intelligence Response Squad, ACP Abba Kyari said, “We thank God that, the Kidnapper that Shot him has also met his Water-loo.
“We Pray that our ‘Gallant Officer’ who died in the line of duty will Rest In Peace and may Almighty GOD give his family the fortitude to bear the loss, Ameen.
