The Police in Akwa Ibom state has warned those it referred to as miscreants and hoodlums wishing to cause problem and disrupt the peaceful celebration of Eid El Fitr to stay clear of the state as its men were ready to deal with them.
A statement signed by DSP Chukwu Ikechukwu, Public relations Officer said, “The Commissioner of Police Akwa Ibom State – CP Don Awunah wishes to assure members of the public of their safety and protection before, during and after the Eld-el-fitr celebration.

“Consequently, the Police and other security agencies have put adequate security measures in place to protect all law abiding citizens in the State.
“All criminal minded persons, miscreants and hoodlums are warned to have a rethink of their action as any attempt by persons or group to disrupt the peace in the State will be viewed seriously and perpetrators will be made to face the full wrath of the law.”
