Sallah: Kogi Police Commissioner puts Men on Standby.

Fully aware of the importance of Kogi state as a transit state to about 7 other states in the country and the fact that Nigerians would be plying these routes to celebrate sallah with loved ones and family, the Kogi state Commissioner of Police has ordered his men to be ready on a round the clock basis.

His Eid El-Fitr message signed by ASP William Ovye Aya, Public Relations Officer reads, “The Commissioner of Police Kogi State Police Command, CP Wilson Inalegwu heartily felicitates with Muslim faithful on the 2017 Eid-El-Fitr celebrations.

 “He wishes all the good people of Kogi State happy and peaceful celebrations, while urging them to remain law abiding before, during and after the Eid-El-Fitr celebrations.

 “The Commissioner of Police reiterates the level of preparedness, determination and commitment of the State Police Command to ensure hitch-free celebrations.

 “He further warned against any Unlawful Assembly that might lead to the disturbance of Public Peace, as anybody caught causing trouble, will be arrested and prosecuted accordingly.

 “The Commissioner also thanks the State Government, Traditional Rulers, Community Leaders, Meyatti Allah, Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) and the Press, for their support to the Police in ensuring adequate Security in the State.

 “He expressed his appreciation to other Security Agencies, as well as Officers of the State Police Command for their dedication to duty and selfless service to the Nation.

 “Finally, the Police Commissioner urges the good people of Kogi State to always avail the Command with credible information on the existence of criminal elements, so as to curtail act of criminality in the State.”
