Senior military and intelligence personnel engaged in the war on terror have disclosed that following the capture of Sambisa forest by the Nigerian Military, over 20 foreign collaborators and mercenaries providing technical expertise for the terrorists have been arrested by troops.
Among them is a French national while the identities of others are yet to be fully ascertained until their comprehensive profiling is concluded.
It was gathered the 4, 200 man strong army backed by Nigerian Airforce air attack support, blocked the ground zero headquarters camp from all the entry and exit points to ensure that only minimal sect members escaped.

It was learnt that the NAF deployed both fighter and surveillance aircraft for the night and day operation supported by logistics aircraft that moved in weapons, evacuated casualty while helicopter gunships carried out short notice pre-dawn and pre-night attacks to soften the ground for soldiers infiltration.
“As a result of the blockade, and assault on the forest, attempts by the foreigners to escape have become impossible even as a source disclosed that they are alive today because of the colour of their skin. If not for respect of rules of engagement, they would have met their waterloo” the source said.
“We will come up with the details later after the profiling of these suspects. They are all being debriefed. But we discovered that there were so many foreigners in the midst of Boko Haram” a source said.
