During the visit, Ambassador Pankyu disclosed that it was essential to meet with the CNS since his assumption of office in Nigeria earlier this year to explore areas of collaboration.
He highlighted the shared history and strong diplomatic relations between Nigeria and Korea, underscoring his mission to further enhance these ties.
The Ambassador identified key areas of mutual benefit, including shipbuilding, training, and security in the Gulf of Guinea.
He expressed enthusiasm for exploring these opportunities to foster greater cooperation.

In his remarks, Vice Admiral Ogalla welcomed the Ambassador, acknowledging the excellent relationship between Nigeria and Korea.
He recalled Korea’s notable participation in the Nigerian Navy’s 68th-anniversary celebrations earlier this year.
The CNS assured the Ambassador that the Nigerian Navy is committed to exploring additional areas of mutual cooperation, further solidifying the bond between the two nations.
The visit was attended by the Korean Defence Attache, Colonel Park Jong Soek, and the Ambassador’s secretary.
The ceremony concluded with the exchange of commemorative plaques, symbolizing the strengthened ties between Nigeria and Korea.
