The Solomon Giwa-Amu Foundation has donated books to the Army War College Nigeria (AWCN) as part of activities scheduled to commemorate the 10th year anniversary of the Foundation.
The books cover science of war, Nigerian History, Economics imperatives of globalization among others.
Making the presentation, the Co-founder of the Foundation, Dr. (Mrs) Judith Solomon Giwa Amu stated that the donation of the books to AWCN is in support and realization of her late husband’s dream to ensure that he exposed other colleagues to what he learnt from books he acquired from the United States of America War college.
She added that the books are meant to broaden the intellectual insights of participants who attends AWCN given the security imperatives in the country at the moment.

In his response, the Commandant AWCN said it was a mixed feeling receiving the august guests as the occasion is premised on the reflection of the vision and dream of a great colleague.
He noted that late Brig Gen Solomon Giwa-Amu was passionate not only about military education but general education for all and particularly for the less priviledge.
The commandant promised to create a section at the AWCN Library to ensure that the donated books stand the test of time and affect generations particularly his late husband’s constituency.
Major Gen EJ Enenche thereafter thanked the visiting team on behalf of members of the faculty and staff of AWCN.
He prayed for God to grant the foundation more grace to continue the good work.
