The Theatre Commander (TC) Joint Task Force, North East Operation Hadin Kai, Major General Ibrahim Ali accompanied by the General Officer Commanding 7 Division, Maj Gen W Shaibu, Formations and Unit Commanders and Staff Officers of Headquarters (HQs) Theatre Command and 7 Div have visited HQs OP Emergence IV Maroua, Cameroon.
The visit which was premised on increased bilateral cooperation between JTF (NE) OPHK and CMR OP Emegence IV also availed the Theatre Commander the opportunity to familiarise himself with sister forces from the contiguous countries as well as critical stakeholders in the ongoing Counter Terrorism and Counter Insurgency Operations along the Lake Chad Basin.
During the visit, Maj Gen Ali was briefed on the operational activities of OP Emergence IV as well as the existing relationships between the two Countries.
In the same vein, the GOC 7 Div briefed the Commander OP Emergenc IV on the ongoing Operations along Mandara mountains as well as plans for the future operations.
 Furthermore, issues relating to the need for improved synergy among the tactical level commanders were also discussed.
The visit culminated with presentation of gift items to the TC and his entourage as well as group photograph, press briefing and lunch.
The Theatre Commander and his entourage departed Maroua at about 14.35 hrs same day. The visit was hitch free.
