TRADOC Commander, NA, Major Gen Aligbe Commends Patriotic Zeal of Young Officers to End Insecurity; Says Doctrine and Combat Develooment, a Panacea to Operational Efficiency   

The Commamder, Training and Doctrine Command Nigerian Army, (TRADOC NA), Major General Kevin Aligbe has extolled the virtues of young officers of the Nigerian Army in the fight against  adversaries in the country.
Major General Aligbe made the statement at a cocktail organised by the  Headquarters 3 Armoured Division Nigerian Army Jos in honour of the candidates for  2024 Lieutenant to  Captain Practical Promotion Examination (LCPPE) held at  Gowon Hall, Crispan Hotel, Jos, Plateau State.
Aligbe said the patriotic zeal and determination shown by the candidates during the exams indicated the level of preparedness of the young officers towards combating myraids of security challenges currently facing the Country.
 While congratulating the Examination Panel and Directing Staff  for the successful completion of the examination, he commended them for adhering to the trajectory of high standard, discipline, dignity and sanctity of the Nigerian Army’s Examination.
The  Commander urged the candidates to be good ambassadors of the Service as they progressed in their professional careers.
General  Aligbe who doubles as the Examination President also reminded the candidates that the examination is a catalyst to career progression of the  middle level officers and it is aimed at driving the realisation of the Command philosophy and vision of the Chief of Army Staff.
 He charged the officers to maintain professionalism in discharging thier constitutional roles of protecting the nation’s territorial integrity and to checkmate acts capable of undermining the nation’s  democracy.
Hd appreciated the Chief of Army Staff Lt General TA Lagbaja for approving resources that made the conduct of the Exercise a huge succes
Gen Aligbe also thanked the Chief Host, General Officer Commanding (GOC) 3 Armoured Division Nigerian Army, Major General AE Abubarka for availing TRADOC NA facilities which made the exercise seamless.
Earlier in his remarks, the GOC , 3 Armoured Division, Major General AE Abubarka appreciated the high level of discipline exhibited by the candidates during the exercise.
He expressed optimism that the knowledge acquired during the exercise by the candidates  will propel them to do much better in service to the nation.
 High points of the cocktail party was  presentation of plaques and interaction with  candidates by the Commander TRADOC NA, GOC 3 Armoured Division Nigerian Army, senior officers and important dignitaries.
The 2024  Lieutenant to Captain Practical Promotion Examination ended with a critique evaluating the achievements and  areas requiring improvements for future exercises.
 Thereafter, the examination results was announced to the candidates.
 Meanwhile, Gen Aligbe has described Doctrine and Combat Development as the panacea to operational efficiency of any Armed Forces in the world.
 The TRADOC Commander made the remarks on Monday 19th February 2024 in a message to declare open the TRADOC NA Doctrine and Combat Development Study Period 2024 with its theme, “Capacity Building in Doctrinal Development for Effecticve Operations in a Joint Operational Environment”
The event  held at TRADOC Auditorium , Minna, Niger state.
General Aligbe stated that  the theme is aimed at improving operational performance adding that the NA newly reviewed Doctrine put into consideration international best practice.
He noted that the workshop is one of the year’s training forecast for TRADOC NA which is geared towards achieving the Command Philosophy of the Chief of Army Staff
Major General Aligbe pointed out that the study period will afford participants opportunity to understand the Doctrine of the NA vis-a-vis its operational philosophy.
He thanked the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Lieutenant General TA Lagbaja for providing neccesary logistics for the smooth conduct of the study period.
Earlier in his welcome address , the Chief of Doctrine and Combat Development (CDCD) TRADOC Nigerian Army,  Major General JAL Jimoh said the study period will broaden ideas that will aid the ongoing operations against the adversaries in the country.
The event was attended by Principal Staff Officers , TRADOC NigerianArmy, Commander 31  Artillery Brigade , representatives from Nigerian Airforce, Officers and Soldiers from HQ TRADOC Nigerian Army  31 Artillery Brigade among others.
 The Study Period  included paper presentations by the resource persons, Interactive sessions and presentation of souvenirs.
 Thereafter, the event was declared close by the Commander Training and Doctrine Command Nigerian Army,  Major General Kevin Aligbe.
