Troops of Quick Response Force of the Nigerian Army have intercepted a gang of armed robbers operating at Felele, along Lokoja – Okene highway wearing military camouflage and robbing innocent commuters.
Three of the armed robbers, Saviour Denis-39years, Isaac Donald-35years and Joseph Isah-35years were arrested while one Mr. Atsen was killed during an exchange of fire with the troops.
Also, two female accomplices, Mrs. Janet Isah and Oyinoye Ochefije were arrested during the encounter.

A statement by Brigadier General Texas Chukwu, Director, Army Public Relations listed items recovered from the robbery gang as one AK 47 rifle, one AK 47 rifle magazine loaded with 28 rounds of ammunition and 4 pairs of military camouflage uniform.
Others are one pair of Nigeria Police pullover, three pairs of berets, one pair of black boot, two machetes, one Plier, 22 handsets and a sum of N16, 980. 00 cash.
“The suspects are currently undergoing interrogation and will be handed over to the appropriate authority for further necessary action”, the statement said.
