Troops of 223 Battalion, 1 Division Nigerian Army, on Thursday foiled efforts of suspected armed bandits that besieged Tsafe, Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara State to cause mayhem on Thursday 21st September 2017.
The troops on receipt of information about the presence of the armed bandits mobilized immediately and moved to the area.

A statement by Brigadier General Sani Kukasheka Usman, Director Army Public Relations said the troops killed one of the armed bandits and recovered 2 AK-47 rifles, 6 magazines and 7 motorcycles.
Unfortunately, a Personnel of Federal Safety Corps (FRSC) was killed by the marauders before the arrival of the troops.
