The Force Commander, G 5 Sahel, Major General D Dacko on Wednesday paid a courtesy visit to Major General LEO Irabor, Force Commander, Multi-national Joint Task Force MNJTF headquarters in N’Djamena, Chad.

The visit is aimed at boosting operational and intelligence cooperation between troops of the G-5 Sahel countries and the Lake Chad Basin Commission in the fight against terrorism, cross border banditry and the smuggling of illicit small arms, illegal drugs and human trafficking.
Recall that Nigeria recently hosted the 7th edition of the CEN-SAD meeting of Ministers of Defence where these issues of cooperation between sub-regional militaries were extensively discussed.
