Troops of 25 task force brigade, 7 division, operation Lafiya Dole on Friday battled with fleeing Boko Haram terrorists during clearance operation at Dulsa and Buk, Damboa LGA of Borno state.
At Dulsa, the troops cleared the terrorist’s hideout and in the process, neutralized 6 Boko Haram terrorists and recovered 1 light machine gun, 1 rocket propelled grenade tube and 1 extra anti-aircraft gun barrel.
Troops also encountered terrorist’s camp at Buk where they were engaged in heavy gun fight by Boko haram terrorists.
In the encounter, troops neutralized 35 of the terrorists and inflicted gunshot wounds on several others who flee.

Confirming the attack, Director of army public relations, Brigadier General Sani Usman said, ‘the troops also made unprecedented recoveries”.
“The items recovered included 9 AK 47 rifles, 5 Fabrique nationale ifles, 2 Rocket Propelled grenade bombs, 1 mortar tube, 1 Shilka, 1 Gun truck mounted withAnti-aircraft Gun and 2 hilux vehicles.
“Unfortunately however, 3 soldiers paid the supreme price, while 5 others were wounded in action.
“Similarly, 1 mine resistant, ambush protected vehicle belonging to the brigade was badly damaged.
“The bodies of late soldiers and those that sustained injuries have since been evacuated by the Nigerian air Force.
“The wounded soldiers are in stable condition”, Usman said.
