Stop Lying to Nigerians; Chibok Girls are either dead or sexually violated-Obansanjo.
Former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, has said Nigerians should forget any hope of seeing the Chibok girls alive again as a group noting that after about two years in captivity of Boko Haram, they either have been killed or sexually violated.
Obasanjo who spoke as guest at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife Staff Club, at an event tagged ‘7th Roundtable with OBJ’, consequently asked Nigerian leaders to stop deceiving the populace and giving false hope that the Chibok girls will return.

While blaming the Jonathan administration for the fate of the Chibok girls, Obasanjo said the non-discovery of the Chibok girls resulted from the nonchalant attitude of the previous leader who he said failed to take the right action immediately which constituted impediment to their return.
His words: “72 hours after the Chibok girls were adopted was too late for their rescue, not talk less getting to two years by April. “So if any leader is promising bringing back the Chibok girls to Nigeria, he is lying”.
Obasanjo added that “majority of these girls would by now have died, while those alive would have married or sexually violated”.
